CCA Activity, Eco-Friendly Ganpati Idol Making workshop was conducted in Swami Vivekananda International School, Amalner
Ganesh Chathurthi is just around the corner and devotees across the country are excitedly preparing for this festival. Students of SVIS participated in this workshop enthusiastically.
As going green is the new mantra, this event was to sensitize others, and protect our environment from water pollution and degradation by making eco-friendly Ganpati.
The Ganpati idol has a natural touch of various pulses and is made up of clay and soil. Idols are made with plant seeds. Idols are to be placed in a garden with soil at the end of the festival. Water it and the idol begins to dissolve. Soon the seeds take root in the soil and form a tree.
Students have made these Ganpatis with great love and devotion.
