As declared by Government of Maharashtra every educational institute celebrated 15th October as “Reading Inspiration Day” because Reading helps everyone to grow mentally, emotionally & psychologically & open the doors of new knowledge to enlighten the mind.
The programme began with formal ceremony of offering garland to the image of Dr.Abdul Kalm followed by welcome speech by the class teachers and inspiring videos of Dr. Abdul Kalam. The children read their favourite books along with the teachers silently for 30 minutes. The students and staff then shared about the joy of reading and the necessity to cultivate the habit of reading. They also voiced their inner feelings to express the admiration for the late President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and he continues to inspire them.
Principal Hemantkumar Deore guided the students and teachers through the contribution of Dr. Abdul Kalam in India’s progress. He also proved the importance of reading in human life.
To make this program successful all teachers and students of SVIS have contributed their notable efforts.
